Olga Koroleva, known by her stage name Korolova, is a Ukrainian DJ and music producer specializing in melodic techno and progressive house.
Early Years and Career Beginnings
Born on March 17, 1988, in Chernihiv, Ukraine. From an early age, she studied music and learned to play the piano. In 2004, inspired by a performance of the duo Gabriel & Dresden, she developed a passion for electronic music and decided to pursue a career in DJing.
In her early years, she performed under the stage name DJ Da Queen, focusing on EDM. A gradual shift toward a more melodic sound took place after her performance at Daydream Festival in 2017, marking the beginning of the Korolova project.
Career and Achievements
As Korolova, Olga quickly made her mark on the global scene. Her releases appeared on Tomorrowland Music, AFTR:HRS, Armada, Get Physical Music, and other major labels, regularly climbing the Beatport charts. Among her notable works are collaborations and remixes with leading melodic techno and progressive house artists, including Jan Blomqvist, Tube & Berger, Spada, and others.
In 2023, Korolova launched her own label and event brand, Captive Soul (also the name of her radio show and podcast). Her touring schedule confirms her international recognition: in 2023, she performed over 100 shows across 50 countries; in 2024, more than 90 shows in over 40 countries.
Korolova has performed at major festivals such as Tomorrowland, EDC Las Vegas, Untold, and Parookaville, as well as in top clubs around the world: Space Miami, Green Valley Brazil, Hï Ibiza, and more. Her sets are celebrated for their blend of melody, emotional storytelling, and dancefloor energy.
Personal Life
Following Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, she was forced to leave Chernihiv — first relocating to Poland, then to Lisbon (Portugal), and later returning to Poland in 2024, where she currently resides with her family. She participates in charity initiatives, including projects supporting animals in Ukraine.
Media Presence
Korolova actively develops her digital platforms and produces visually stunning live sets in iconic locations worldwide (Sharm El-Sheikh, Odesa, Santorini, Miami, and more). She hosts a weekly radio show and podcast titled “Captive Soul”, available on SoundCloud, Spotify, and Apple Podcasts.
