Enrico Sangiuliano - Biography and discography, all albums and songs

Enrico Sangiuliano

Enrico Sangiuliano — Italian DJ, composer, and producer, widely regarded as one of the leading figures in modern techno and melodic techno.
He is known for his powerful live sets, atmospheric releases on labels such as Drumcode, Truesoul, Intec, and his own imprint NINETOZERO, as well as for his collaborations with Charlotte de Witte, with whom he shares both a creative and personal partnership.

Early Life and Beginnings

Enrico Sangiuliano was born in Reggio Emilia, Italy, in the 1980s.
From an early age, he was fascinated by electronics and acoustics, building his own amplifiers, playing drums, and recording early experiments on cassette tapes.
As a teenager, he discovered Italy’s 1990s club scene and began creating homemade tracks — a period that shaped his desire to merge engineering precision with artistic expression.

His first productions appeared in the early 2000s, when he released remixes and ambient tracks under various aliases. Over time, Enrico started performing in Milan and Bologna clubs, refining his distinctive sound.

Breakthrough and Success

His major breakthrough came in 2015 with the release of “Moon Rocks” on Drumcode — a track that became one of Beatport’s best-selling techno releases and launched him into the global charts.

From that point, Enrico became a regular artist on Adam Beyer’s Drumcode roster. His subsequent releases — including “Astral Projection”, “Hidden T”, “Start of Madness”, and “Symbiosis” — solidified his reputation as one of the genre’s leading producers.

In 2018, he released his debut album “Biomorph” — a conceptual project where each track represents the evolution of a living organism through sound. The album received critical acclaim and was listed among the top 10 electronic releases of the year by DJ Mag and Resident Advisor.

Musical Style

Enrico Sangiuliano’s sound embodies techno with a philosophical and cinematic essence.
His tracks merge the precision of sound engineering with the energy of live performance, characterized by:

  • Deep bass layers and hypnotic grooves;
  • Clean structures and an “architectural” approach to sound design;
  • Elements of melodic techno, ambient, and minimalism;
  • Attention to dynamics, spatial depth, and acoustic balance.

Every Sangiuliano performance is a meticulously crafted audio experience where every detail contributes to a cohesive narrative. He performs hybrid live sets, creating and reshaping music in real time.

The NINETOZERO Project

In 2022, Enrico launched his own label and art project — NINETOZERO, a conceptual series of 10 chapters, each representing a unique philosophical and sonic concept.
The label is designed as a “countdown” — once the tenth release is completed, the project will conclude, symbolically leaving behind a musical chronicle of a decade.

The first release, “Silence”, was followed by “Sound of Space” and “Physical Change”. Through this project, Enrico demonstrates artistic maturity and a pursuit of meaningful sound — not just club music, but conceptual art.

Collaboration with Charlotte de Witte

Enrico Sangiuliano and Charlotte de Witte are one of techno’s most celebrated duos — both professionally and personally.
Their collaborative tracks “The Age of Love”, “Reflection”, and “Source of Propagation” have become festival anthems, featured at Awakenings, Tomorrowland, Time Warp, Creamfields, and Kappa Future Festival.

Together, they strike a balance between melodic emotion and industrial power — presenting techno as an art form of sound and feeling.
