Dima Bilan was injured during the filming of the music video “Dreamers,” where he played a vampire. A dangerous stunt without stunt doubles, a fall from height, and a series of mysterious coincidences sparked discussion in the show-business community
Among actors and musicians, there has long been an unspoken belief that transforming into images associated with mysticism and the “dark side” is often accompanied by a chain of unpleasant events. Whether this is superstition or mere coincidence remains an open question; however, an incident that occurred with Dima Bilan during the filming of a new music video has once again revived such legends.
In spring, the artist recorded the song “Dreamers,” and shortly afterward work began on its video version. According to the plot, Bilan appears in the image of a vampire — a character long embedded in popular culture. The set was designed in the style of a gothic castle: dim lighting, gloomy scenery, and carefully crafted makeup created an atmosphere close to dark fantasy cinema. Members of the film crew noted that the artist fully immersed himself in the role, making his on-screen image particularly convincing.
One of the key scenes of the video involved the main character’s “flights.” Despite suggestions to use professional stunt performers for complex episodes, Bilan insisted on performing the stunts himself. According to the crew, the safety system had been checked multiple times; however, during one take, the unexpected happened: a cable came loose, and the artist fell from a height of about three meters together with his partner.
For a few seconds, the entire crew froze — many perceived the situation as an alarming sign. Bilan, however, refused to stop filming immediately, as he did not feel serious consequences in the first moments. Only later, during a break between takes, did the artist admit he felt a sharp pain in his side, raising concerns about possible injuries.
Despite the incident, the video team emphasizes that it has no mystical nature and is regarded as a typical production risk. Bilan himself also describes what happened as a “household injury,” although he does not hide that the situation made him recall long-standing acting superstitions.
Filming of the video is expected to resume after a short pause. The incident will likely only add public interest to the project — after all, in the world of show business, the line between mysticism, image, and reality has always been particularly thin.
