ANNA ASTI (Anna Anatolyevna Dzyuba; born June 24, 1990, Cherkasy) is a pop singer and songwriter, one of the most in-demand and streamed artists on the Russian-language scene of the 2020s. She is known both as the former lead vocalist of the duo Artik & Asti (2010–2021) and as a solo performer with a run of hits that topped digital and radio charts.
Early years and development
Anna grew up in a musical environment: she studied vocals from her teens, performed on local stages, and took part in studio projects. Moving to a major city gave her access to professional studios, session writers, and live infrastructure. Her early repertoire—lyrical pop ballads and dance tracks with a focus on melody and a conversational delivery—anticipated the singer’s later style.
Artik & Asti period (2010–2021)
Founded by producer and rapper Artik, the project quickly broke into the mainstream thanks to Anna’s distinctive timbre, direct “diary-style” lyrics, and hook-driven choruses. Over 11 years the duo released a string of radio phenomena and live favorites:
-
“Mir soshyol s uma” (“The World Went Crazy”)
-
“Nedelimy” (“Indivisible”)
-
“Grustnyy dence” (“Sad Dance”)
-
“Devochka, tantsuy” (“Girl, Dance”)
-
“Pod gipnozom” (“Under Hypnosis”)
-
“Tebe vsyo mozhno” (“You Can Do Anything”)
The project toured consistently across the CIS and Europe, filling large venues and festivals, regularly appeared in year-end radio and DSP charts, and received industry awards. At the end of 2021, Anna announced her departure and the start of a solo career under the name ANNA ASTI.
Solo career (since 2022)
Debut and cementing status. The launch was marked by tracks with a pronounced personal perspective and “grown-up” lyrics:
-
“Feniks” (“Phoenix”) — a programmatic statement of a restart;
-
“Po baram” (“Bar Hopping”) — a mass-appeal radio hit and concert sing-along;
-
“Noch’yu na kukhne” (“At Night in the Kitchen”) — a lyrical hit with intimate dramaturgy.
New material and headlining releases. In 2023–2024 followed:
-
“Veryu v tebya” (“I Believe in You”) — a motivational pop ballad;
-
“Tsaritsa” (“Queen”) — the title track of the namesake release and a key single of the solo period;
-
“Topit” (“Melts”) — a dance cut contrasting a “raw” verse with a powerful chorus;
-
collaborations (including with top pop performers) and covers that strengthened radio presence.
Live activity. The singer rapidly expanded the geography of her solo shows: from clubs and theaters to arenas and sports palaces; the setlist mixes new material with selected duo-era hits (in refreshed arrangements). Special show versions appeared with live band, string section, and enhanced visual production (screens, lighting, and staged entrances).
Musical language and vocal style
-
Vocal. Mid-low register with a “smoky” attack, crisp diction, characteristic falls at phrase endings, and emotional crescendos in the chorus.
-
Songwriting. Verses—conversational, melodically minimalist; choruses—wide, singable, built on a repeating key line with light modulations.
-
Sound. Contemporary pop with dance pulse (mid-tempo/uptempo), a hybrid of synth-pop and R&B elements; ballads feature piano and strings, while bangers lean on a tighter rhythm section and sub-bass.
-
Lyrics. Themes of personal responsibility, breakups and rebuilding boundaries, emotional ambivalence; plainspoken phrasing and colloquial turns designed for instant listener “recognition.”
Image, show, and team
-
Image. Feminine yet assured, emphasizing strength and independence; video aesthetics—dramatic tone, close-ups, minimal props.
-
Stage. Shows are built around setlist dramaturgy: “little stories” in the verses, catharsis in the choruses; LED screens and dynamic lighting serve as a “second narrator.”
-
Core team. A steady writer/producer tandem, a music director (for live arrangements and the balance between backing tracks and live band), a show director, and SFX/lighting design.
