CHEPIKK (real name — Ekaterina Chepik; born October 11, 1990, in Minsk) is a Russian singer and songwriter. She works primarily in contemporary pop music, incorporating elements of electronic and dance music. Among her best-known songs are «Со мной так нельзя», «Чёрная Волга», «Заколдую», «Крылышки», «Не люби меня» and «Женат».

CHEPIKK began her music career as an adult. Before making her first professional recordings, Ekaterina worked in several different fields, studied singing and took part in competitions. Her official discography begins with the single «Черника», released in 2019. Wider attention came with the 2022 song «Со мной так нельзя».

Early years

Ekaterina Chepik was born in Minsk. She was interested in singing and dancing from childhood but did not receive a formal professional music education.

Before beginning her own performing career, Ekaterina worked in various fields. She was a shoot producer for a wedding publication, worked in real estate, and also worked as a makeup artist, stylist and in advertising.

Chepik turned seriously to music in 2018 while living in Sochi. She began taking vocal lessons, and her teacher suggested that she enter a city competition. Ekaterina finished in second place. The experience influenced her decision to continue studying and develop as a performer.

Before launching her own singing career, Chepik also wrote lyrics for other artists. Later, she decided to perform her own songs herself.

Beginning of her career

For her music project, Ekaterina chose the stage name CHEPIKK, derived from her surname.

Her first official single was «Черника», released in 2019. In 2020, she followed it with «Под одеялом», «Разрезай меня» and «Болела голова». Her first music videos were also made for songs from this period.

In 2021, CHEPIKK released the singles «Я так люблю», «BOSS», «Стреляй» and «Белый Мерседес». A music video was also filmed for «Стреляй».

Even in her early songs, the main themes of her lyrics were already established — relationships, love, breakups, jealousy and emotions connected with personal life.

«Со мной так нельзя»

In 2022, CHEPIKK released several singles: «Летай», «На кой ты мне», «Не отдавай меня», «Со мной так нельзя» and «Скандал».

The most notable release of this period was «Со мной так нельзя». The song spread through social media and became one of the key releases of CHEPIKK’s early career.

In 2023, «Со мной так нельзя» took first place in the «МузРаскрутка» project on the «МУЗ-ТВ» television channel.

CHEPIKK writes her own lyrics and takes part in creating the music. Some songs emerge very quickly: Ekaterina has said that an initial idea, phrase or melody can appear within a few minutes, after which she records it on her phone or saves it in her notes.

Songs released in 2023

In 2023, CHEPIKK’s discography expanded with the singles «Пленная», «Всё ещё люблю», «Чёрная Волга», «Танец поцелуев», «Губы в губы», «Люболь», «Дефицит любви» and «Заколдую».

«Чёрная Волга» received its own music video. The visual side of the project plays a significant role in the singer’s work: CHEPIKK takes part in developing ideas for her own videos and stage images.

As new songs appeared, synthesizers and elements of retro pop were used more frequently in the arrangements alongside contemporary electronic production.

2024 releases

In 2024, CHEPIKK released «Сигарета», «Обманул», «Держи крепче меня», «Чёрная кошка», «О мама», «На ковре самолёте», «Серёжки» and «Крылышки».

The songs from this period remained focused on melodic pop, although the electronic arrangements increasingly drew on synth-pop and the pop music of previous decades.

An official music video was released for «Чёрная Волга». CHEPIKK also released videos for «Под одеялом», «Разрезай меня», «Болела голова» and «Стреляй».

«Не люби меня» and 2025

In January 2025, CHEPIKK and Холла released the collaborative song «Не люби меня». Alternative and dance versions of the track appeared later.

During the year, the singer also released the singles «Любовь, любовь», «Женат», «Миг», «Нам пора домой» and «Моя любимая ненависть». Together with Серёга, she recorded the song «Бандит».

In spring 2025, CHEPIKK presented her first major solo program, «Скандал». The concert title referred to the song of the same name released three years earlier.

That same year, the singer became a laureate of the Fashion People Awards in the «Открытие года» category. At the «Реальная премия MUSICBOX», she received the «Взлёт года» award.

2026 releases

In 2026, CHEPIKK’s discography was expanded by the songs «Ресницы», «Доктор», «5 минут назад», «2 ночи» and «Мокрые облака», as well as remixes and alternative versions of several tracks.

In February of the same year, Ekaterina appeared on the «Живая струна» program on «Радио Шансон», where she performed her songs and spoke about the beginning of her songwriting and performing career.

Songwriting

CHEPIKK is the author or co-author of a significant part of her repertoire. On some recordings, she works with other lyricists and composers. Among her regular creative partners is music producer and composer Sergey Kapustin.

For example, Ekaterina is credited among the writers of «На ковре самолёте» and also took part in writing «О мама». On «Крылышки», she was a co-author of the lyrics.

Chepik prefers to preserve the original emotional form of a song and does not always aim to spend a long time reworking material that has already been written. Her lyrics are often built around a specific emotion or conversational phrase, around which the verses and chorus are constructed.

CHEPIKK’s main direction is Russian-language pop music. Different songs incorporate elements of dance-pop, electronic music and synth-pop.
