Carta (real name — Leo Li, born December 18, 1996, in Shanghai, China) is one of the most famous and successful DJs and producers in Asia. He first became interested in electronic music as a teenager and started creating remixes, uploading them to the internet. Thanks to his fresh sound and energetic style, he quickly gained recognition on the local scene and soon broke into the international stage.
In 2015, Carta became the first Chinese artist to sign a contract with the world’s largest EDM label, Spinnin’ Records, which marked a major milestone in his career. Just a few years later, he entered the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs list, becoming the first Chinese DJ to achieve this result.
Music Career
Carta’s style can be described as a fusion of future house, progressive house, and EDM. His tracks are characterized by heavy basslines, catchy melodies, and high energy, perfectly suited for large festivals.
He regularly performs at the world’s biggest festivals, including Tomorrowland, Ultra Music Festival, Creamfields, and is also a resident at top clubs in China and Europe.
