Melovin announces the end of his career in 2027 — farewell concerts and the artist’s statement

Ukrainian singer Melovin has announced his intention to end his music career in 2027. The artist revealed plans for farewell concerts and explained his decision as a desire to take a pause and shift his life focus.

Ukrainian singer Melovin (real name — Kostiantyn Bocharov) has announced his intention to end his music career in 2027. The artist shared the news personally on his Instagram, accompanying the statement with an announcement of a series of farewell concerts scheduled for next year.

In an emotional message, the 28-year-old musician admitted that recently he has felt as though he has been living “faster than himself.” According to the artist, music, the stage, audience expectations, and constant public visibility have been — and remain — an important part of his journey, but his inner state no longer aligns with his former pace of life.

“I am ending my career in 2027. Lately, I often catch myself thinking that I’m living faster than myself. Music, the stage, people, expectations — all of this has been and still is an important part of my path. This is my prime, my experience, my gratitude. But not only time is changing. I am changing too. Right now, it’s important for me to shift my focus. To be there for myself. For my parents. For the person I love. Without noise. Without constant ‘online’ presence,” the artist wrote.

Melovin emphasized that this is not about a sudden departure or an “escape.” He describes the decision as being honest with himself and taking a conscious pause needed to rethink the road ahead.
“Sometimes a pause is the only way to restore meaning,” the singer noted.

At the same time, the artist did not clarify whether ending his career means leaving music forever or taking a long creative break. However, the wording of his statement and the announcement of farewell concerts in 2026 suggest an intention to place a significant full stop on the current stage of his career.

It is worth recalling that in 2025, Kostiantyn Bocharov accepted a proposal from his boyfriend, paramedic Petro Zlotyi. The news sparked wide public discussion, and the artist later had to publicly respond to doubts from some followers regarding the sincerity of their relationship.

Melovin is one of the most vivid and provocative figures on the contemporary Ukrainian pop scene — a winner of “X-Factor,” a Eurovision participant, and an artist whose career has consistently been marked by bold imagery, outspoken statements, and high-profile themes. His announcement about a possible departure from the stage has already triggered active discussion among fans and within the music community.
