SLAVA MARLOW (Slava Marlow; real name — Artyom Artyomovich Gotlib; born October 27, 1999, Novosibirsk, Russia) is a Russian music producer, rapper, songwriter and video blogger. He gained widespread recognition around 2019–2020 through his work with MORGENSHTERN, and later established himself as a solo artist with songs such as «Снова я напиваюсь», «Ты горишь как огонь», «По глазам», CAMRY 3.5, «Она тебя любит» and other releases.
SLAVA MARLOW’s production style developed at the intersection of hip-hop, trap, pop music and electronic production. His early work is characterized by compact arrangements, emphasized basslines, memorable hooks and deliberately minimalist structures. In his later solo discography, the musician repeatedly changed direction — from the melodic pop-rap of the EP «Артём» to the experimental «ТУЗИК», the 2010s club aesthetic of «ЭЛЬФ 1» and the separate gotlibgotlibgotlib project.
Childhood and music school
Artyom Gotlib was born on October 27, 1999, in Novosibirsk. He began studying music as a child: for several years he attended music school as a piano student and later spent about a year learning saxophone.
His interest in creating music independently appeared during his teenage years. In the mid-2010s, Gotlib began studying beatmaking and working with music software, gradually moving from instrumental experiments to his own songs and video content.
In 2016, he created a YouTube channel. Among his early published works were videos and music clips «Донат» and «Король снэпчата». The channel initially had no single concept: music appeared alongside parodies, experimental videos and content connected with internet culture.
Studies in Saint Petersburg
After graduating from school in 2018, Gotlib moved from Novosibirsk to Saint Petersburg and enrolled at the Saint Petersburg State Institute of Film and Television in a program related to film and television production.
The musician later said that the decision to study in Saint Petersburg was largely inspired by a friend. Initially, he had considered other educational options and did not view the move as the beginning of a professional music career.
Gotlib studied at the institute for about three years, combining classes with YouTube and music. He did not complete his higher education: active studio work and a move to Moscow gradually became the main focus of his life.
Мальчугенг and early projects
Before achieving widespread recognition, SLAVA MARLOW experimented with different stage names and formats.
In 2019, together with N.Masteroff and Stephan Pie, he participated in the satirical project «Мальчугенг». The group released intentionally quickly recorded material and used a humorous approach to contemporary rap.
At the same time, Gotlib worked under the name Manny. On July 27, 2019, he released the album «Опенинг» — an early solo experiment consisting of 13 tracks.
Later, the musician abandoned this project and focused on the name SLAVA MARLOW.
Album «20»
In November 2019, the album «20» appeared, already released under the name SLAVA MARLOW.
This material belongs to the period when his production style was taking shape. The musician was still experimenting with vocals and song structures while becoming increasingly active as a beatmaker for other artists.
The album did not bring him mass recognition, but 2019 was also the year when a collaboration began that dramatically changed SLAVA MARLOW’s position in the Russian-language music industry.
Meeting MORGENSHTERN
In 2019, SLAVA MARLOW began actively pursuing a collaboration with MORGENSHTERN. One of his public steps was the song and video «MORGENSHTERN, давай сделаем фит».
The musicians met and began working together. One of their early joint recordings was Yung Hefner at the end of 2019.
SLAVA MARLOW subsequently became one of the key sound producers of a new period in MORGENSHTERN’s career. Their collaboration became a notable example of the “rapper — permanent producer” model, in which music production itself became an independent part of the performer’s public image.
«Легендарная пыль»
The major event of early 2020 was MORGENSHTERN’s album «Легендарная пыль».
The album was created in January 2020 as a public experiment: work on the material took about a week and was partly shown to viewers through online livestreams.
SLAVA MARLOW served as the album’s music producer and shaped a significant part of its sound.
The production was built around relatively simple trap structures, powerful 808 basslines, short musical loops and a minimal number of elements. This economy of arrangement left plenty of space for the vocals and made the signature producer tag «Слава, что ты сделал?» a recognizable part of the material.
The success of «Легендарная пыль» brought the producer’s name out of the professional credits and into the public spotlight.
Tik Tok челлендж
In February 2020, SLAVA MARLOW released the short composition «Tik Tok челлендж», specifically built around an easily repeatable fragment for short user-generated videos.
The track became the basis of a mass internet challenge and demonstrated the musician’s understanding of new mechanisms for distributing songs. For SLAVA MARLOW, social media was not only a promotional platform for finished music but also part of the structure of the release itself.
Cadillac, ICE and El Problema
After «Легендарная пыль», the collaboration with MORGENSHTERN continued with a series of major singles.
In June 2020, Cadillac was released, recorded by MORGENSHTERN and Элджей. SLAVA MARLOW is officially credited on the track as composer and producer.
ICE belongs to the same period, while in the autumn MORGENSHTERN and Тимати released El Problema, also produced by SLAVA MARLOW.
These recordings consolidated his position as one of the most prominent young producers in Russian-language hip-hop of the early 2020s.
Transition to a solo career
Alongside his work for other artists, SLAVA MARLOW increasingly developed his own catalog.
In 2020, he released «Нет проблем», «Сумасшедший», «Ты дура, прости» and other solo tracks.
By autumn, the musician decided to reduce his permanent involvement with MORGENSHTERN’s team and focus on his own career as an artist.
«Снова я напиваюсь»
On October 7, 2020, SLAVA MARLOW released «Снова я напиваюсь».
The song became his first truly major solo hit. Instead of the aggressive trap production associated with his MORGENSHTERN period, it uses a melodic pop-rap form with a short running time and a repeating vocal hook.
The track topped Russian Apple Music and spread widely across streaming services and social networks.
«Снова я напиваюсь» changed the perception of SLAVA MARLOW: audiences began to see him not only as the creator of other artists’ sound but also as an independent performer.
Real name and the EP «Артём»
Until autumn 2020, a significant part of the audience did not know the musician’s real name.
On October 22, he publicly revealed that he had been born as Artyom Artyomovich Gotlib. The stage name Slava Marlow had been created much earlier and for a long time effectively replaced his real name in public life.
The following day, on October 23, 2020, the EP «Артём» was released.
It included five tracks:

«Ты горишь как огонь»
In February 2021, SLAVA MARLOW released «Ты горишь как огонь», which became another major hit.
The song firmly established the melodic side of his work: instead of rap delivery, the main emphasis falls on the vocal chorus, while the arrangement is built around simple harmonic figures and a compact electronic beat.
The track reached the top positions on Apple Music and became one of the artist’s most recognizable solo works alongside «Снова я напиваюсь».
Collaborations in 2021
2021 became one of the busiest periods in SLAVA MARLOW’s discography.
Notable collaborations included:
- «Она тебя любит» — with The Limba and Элджей;
- «Я НЕ ЗНАЮ» — with MORGENSHTERN;
- «БРИЛЛИАНТЫ VVS» — with HammAli & Navai;

Shivers with Ed Sheeran and FEDUK
In December 2021, a special version of Shivers by British singer Ed Sheeran was released featuring FEDUK and SLAVA MARLOW.
The release came out through Atlantic Records UK. In the official credits, SLAVA MARLOW is listed as a featured vocalist and recording participant.
The collaboration became one of the most notable international projects in his discography.
Forbes «30 до 30»
In 2021, SLAVA MARLOW was named one of the winners of the Russian Forbes «30 до 30» ranking in the “Music” category.
By this point, his professional reputation rested on two directions at once: producing major rap releases and his own rapidly growing solo career.
«Расстреляй меня» and the 2022 period
In 2022, SLAVA MARLOW released «Расстреляй меня» and «Где найти силы», the latter recorded together with Biicla.
This period was less focused on the regular production of pop hits. The artist increasingly experimented with sound, vocal processing and genre contrasts.
«ТУЗИК»
On December 16, 2022, the album «ТУЗИК» was released.
The nine-track record differs noticeably from the EP «Артём». It features more overloaded electronic sound design, abrupt transitions and unconventional song structures.

After «ТУЗИК», the pace of official releases slowed down. In 2023, the artist appeared much less frequently with major solo premieres, paying more attention to production work and experimental formats.
During this period, he launched the project «Гараж», based on working with different musicians and creating new compositions in various genres.
The absence of a constant stream of solo hits marked a transition from the 2020–2021 period, when new songs appeared with minimal intervals, to a more selective approach to his own catalog.
«Запретить»
In February 2024, SLAVA MARLOW returned with the solo single «Запретить».
The song retained the emotional melodicism of his early solo period but was released after a noticeable pause in his active pop discography.
«я не могу тебя найти» and «Майор Гром: Игра»
On May 23, 2024, SLAVA MARLOW released «я не могу тебя найти», which became part of the musical material for the film «Майор Гром: Игра».
SLAVA MARLOW wrote and performed the song. The recording presents a more cinematic and melancholic side of his work and differs from the trap production of his early career.
«всё будет нормально» with Слава КПСС
In autumn 2024, SLAVA MARLOW released the collaborative track «всё будет нормально» with Слава КПСС.
The song is built around the contrast between an outwardly optimistic chorus and the more anxious content of the verses. For Marlow, the release continued his movement toward lyrics about inner states, growing older and attitudes toward the surrounding world.
«ЭЛЬФ 1»
On June 13, 2025, the album «ЭЛЬФ 1» was released — SLAVA MARLOW’s first major solo work after «ТУЗИК».
The record consists of seven tracks and runs for about 17 minutes. Its musical concept draws on mainstream electronic and pop music of the early 2010s: EDM, dubstep, club radio, bright digital aesthetics and the internet culture of that period.

The only fully solo song on the standard version was «МАНИЯ».
The album differs noticeably from the preceding discography: nostalgia for the electronic pop culture of the 2010s is used not as an exact reproduction of older genres but as material for contemporary production.
gotlibgotlibgotlib
In August 2025, Artyom Gotlib introduced another creative name — gotlibgotlibgotlib.
The project’s first release was the short single aromat, released on August 15. Its sound differs noticeably from «ЭЛЬФ 1»: instead of bright club nostalgia, it uses darker, overloaded elements of the contemporary rap scene.
In October, «все хотят меня» appeared — a new interpretation of the song «Все хотят меня поцеловать» by the band «Пошлая Молли».
In March 2026, gotlibgotlibgotlib and SABU released the single «агентство насилия™». Artyom Gotlib is credited as the lyricist in the official digital credits.
The separate name allowed the musician to develop a more experimental direction in parallel with the main SLAVA MARLOW project.
«Друг»
On December 5, 2025, SLAVA MARLOW and musician Арлен released the track «Друг».
Instead of the electronic club aesthetic of «ЭЛЬФ 1», the song takes the form of a melancholic indie-pop ballad.
The story of the song began several years earlier, when Marlow heard Arlen perform at an intimate house concert. He later joined the recording and worked with the young artist.
DIXXTAPE and «Мы сделаем это»
On May 29, 2026, the three-track project DIXXTAPE was released, bringing together SLAVA MARLOW, «Лауд», The Pak, Sleepyforever, Parfumeur, Тейстлув and Sir Soylok.
SLAVA MARLOW recorded the track «Мы сделаем это» with Sir Soylok for the release.
The track became one of the artist’s new recordings under his main stage name in 2026, while the parallel gotlibgotlibgotlib project continued to develop separately.
Musical style
SLAVA MARLOW is difficult to define within a single genre. The foundation of his career remains hip-hop and pop, but his production approach changes noticeably from release to release.

SLAVA MARLOW as a producer
Production remains a fundamental part of his musical identity.
Unlike the traditional model in which the beatmaker remains largely unknown to the wider audience, Marlow actively appeared in videos, livestreams and social media from the very beginning. His producer tag became part of the songs, while the process of creating music itself often became independent content.
The most notable early example is his work on MORGENSHTERN’s «Легендарная пыль». Later, his production appeared on Cadillac, ICE, El Problema and other recordings by artists from the Russian-language scene.
At the same time, his solo career did not replace production work. In his own releases, Gotlib often writes the music himself, programs the arrangements and participates in the full recording process.
Personal life
SLAVA MARLOW’s best-known public relationship was with blogger Karina Karrambaby.
In 2021, the musician confirmed their relationship after Karina appeared in the video for «Ты горишь как огонь». The couple were together for about two years.
In January 2023, both publicly announced their breakup and asked the audience not to turn the end of the relationship into an internet conflict.
Afterward, Marlow did not make romantic relationships a permanent part of his public image.

SLAVA MARLOW’s place in Russian-language music
SLAVA MARLOW’s career developed during a period when the boundaries between music producer, performer and internet content creator had practically disappeared.
In the late 2010s, he started as a beatmaker and YouTube creator, then became one of the architects of the sound of MORGENSHTERN’s most commercially prominent period, and just a year after «Легендарная пыль» was independently reaching the top positions of streaming charts.
His significance to this period is connected primarily with the visibility of the producer profession. The producer tag, participation in video content and the public process of creating songs turned the beatmaker into a full participant in the musical story rather than merely a name in the technical credits.
In his own discography, Marlow avoided becoming tied to a single formula. The pop-rap of «Артём», the experimental «ТУЗИК», the electronic nostalgia of «ЭЛЬФ 1» and the gotlibgotlibgotlib project represent different stages of the same creator, for whom working with sound remains more important than belonging to any specific genre.
