Deepside Deejays

Deepside Deejays is a Romanian music project that blends elements of dance, electro house, progressive house, and deep house. The group became known for its melodic tracks, dancefloor energy, and remixes that earned recognition worldwide.

History and Formation

Deepside Deejays was founded in 2008 in Romania by three DJs and producers — Dave Pryce, Victor de la Pena, and Vibearena. The musicians united with a shared goal: to break away from the monotony of the club scene and bring in a fresh sound rooted in melody, emotion, and professional production quality.

After joining forces, they quickly made a name for themselves, releasing tracks that gained popularity across Romanian and European clubs. Their early productions immediately caught the attention of audiences and industry professionals alike.

Early Success (2008–2009)

In 2008, Deepside Deejays released "Summer In Your Eyes", "Move It Like I Do", and "Beautiful Days" (with Nick Kamarera), earning their first wave of recognition. Their music stood out with its light summer vibe and polished structure, helping the group secure a place in Eastern Europe’s club charts.

The year 2009 became a turning point in their career. Deepside Deejays won the Gfab Records contest, opening doors to international recognition. That same year, successful tracks like "Over and Over Again", "Secret Ride", and "Never Be Alone" hit the airwaves. Their songs charted in Poland, Russia, Turkey, and Scandinavia, reaching the Top 20 club hits across Eastern Europe.

Thanks to their growing popularity, the group released several compilations, including "Fantastic Dance", "Electro House Vision", and "Mega Dance Hits from Romania".

International Recognition (2010–2012)

In 2010, the project introduced new hits such as "Around The World", "Feels So Good", and "Live It Up". These tracks became staples on radio stations and in clubs across Europe, Asia, and North Africa — from Egypt and India to Morocco, Poland, and Scandinavia.

In 2011, they achieved major success with "I Wanna Be Free", which became an international hit supported by leading labels and radio stations. Afterward, Deepside Deejays began collaborating with Voltaj, strengthening their position in the music industry.

Another highlight was the single "Never Be Alone", one of the most popular summer anthems of its time — dedicated to club music fans and symbolizing the essence of their sound.

Sound and Style

The music of Deepside Deejays combines elements of progressive and electro house with soft vocals and melodic lines, making their tracks light, atmospheric, and memorable. They often feature live vocals, rich harmonies, and modern arrangements, allowing their songs to resonate both on dancefloors and mainstream radio.

Deepside Deejays are known not only for their original productions but also for their remixes for renowned artists. They have created over 50 remixes, including works for Inna, Akcent, Edward Maya, and other Romanian performers. Their production style is characterized by high quality, recognizable sound, and an ability to adapt tracks for club atmospheres.

Later Years and Present Day

After 2013, the group’s lineup changed, but Dave Pryce and Victor de la Pena continued their activity, focusing on studio production and collaborations with emerging artists. They took part in creating music for European performers, producing radio hits, and touring across Europe and Asia.
