Victoria Niro (real name — Viktoriia Yulianivna Slobodska; born August 22, 2003, Lviv) is a Ukrainian singer working in the genres of pop and hip-hop, as well as a songwriter and composer. She first gained recognition as a video blogger and cover artist, performing renditions of popular tracks by international and Ukrainian performers. Her original songs “Рожеві окуляри” (“Pink Glasses”) and “Не знаю” (“Don’t Know”) brought her widespread popularity.
Biography
Victoria was born and still lives in Lviv. From an early age, she showed musical talent: at 13, she began taking vocal lessons, and at 14, she taught herself to play guitar and piano. She first achieved recognition with her cover of Linkin Park — “Numb”. Later, she performed a cover of Dan Balan — “Мені треба” (“I Need”), after which the artist invited her to perform with him — a milestone moment in her career.
Her rise in popularity came through TikTok, where viral covers gradually evolved into original releases. Her debut music video, “Молодий юначе” (“Young Man”), was released in September 2022, reflecting the theme of first love. In November of the same year, she released tracks about life during the full-scale invasion and hope for victory. A special place in her discography is held by the song “Віра” (“Faith”), inspired by the true story of a girl born in a bomb shelter during the first days of the war.
Music and Releases
Among Victoria’s notable works are “Стала зілля варити” (“Started Brewing Potions”), “А море манить” (“The Sea Beckons”), “Тиха вода” (“Quiet Water”), “Зоре моя вечірняя” (“My Evening Star”), “Сестра” (“Sister,” featuring rap artist PROBLEMA), and “Без тебе” (“Without You”). In 2024, she released the playful “Як уві сні” (“Like in a Dream”), a duet with Sasha Horovy “Байдуже” (“Don’t Care”), and the hit “Не знаю” (“Don’t Know”) — music written by Victoria herself with lyrics by rapper Oleh Shershen. That same year, she released the track and music video “Непокірна голова” (“Rebellious Head”), with a strong protest message.
Late 2024 marked her first solo concert. In 2025, she presented an official cover of Kuzma Skryabin’s legendary song “Мумітроль” (“Moomin Troll”), approved by the artist’s family and supported by a charitable foundation, as well as an intimate interpretation of “То моє море” (“That’s My Sea,” Skryabin / Sestrichka Vika), which she called a “healing song.”
In autumn 2025, Victoria released a new single, “Питань нема” (“No Questions”), a spontaneous home recording with guitar that quickly went viral on TikTok and received wide listener support.
Style and Collaborations
Victoria Niro’s musical style combines pop melodies with elements of rap and contemporary Ukrainian pop music. Early in her career, she collaborated with the label PAPA MUSIC, and in her songwriting, she frequently works with poet-rapper Oleh Shershen. In interviews, Victoria has shared that many of her songs are based on real stories — for example, “Не знаю” (“Don’t Know”) was inspired by a tale of friendship, misunderstood feelings, and unfulfilled love.
Concerts and Social Activity
Since the start of the full-scale invasion, the singer has actively participated in charity concerts supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine, performing in Kyiv, Ivano-Frankivsk, and other cities. She is also active on social media and her YouTube channel, where her music videos and covers gather millions of views, and her new releases often become soundtracks for user-generated content.
